Flagstaff Hill outperforms an undefeated Noarlunga to win 4 in a row SFL flags

Well what a great finish to 2019. The underdogs as we were named came out on top. The group didn’t feel they were the underdog we had a plan we just had to get the team on the park at the same time. We had belief in our system and processes and we stuck to the plan. What a day it was.

We started 2019 with new players who were very keen to continue our success. This year in A grade we have played 39 players. We seem to have wedding parties and overseas holidays but we continued to blood younger players. We played through the season with the goal of getting into the top 2 positions on the ladder which we achieved. Then we would take each finals game as it came. This is where we became stronger as a group. All throughout the year the leadership group really had an input and we discussed this as a group of a plan to get us to the last game of the year. We worked really hard at this and the players bought in and the result was awesome four in a row.

Big thanks to Dools who never once complained about A-grade needing players which would make his B grade short but we knew we have some very good young talent waiting to be given opportunities. So to Dools thanks heaps. I will thank more people at presentation night so hopefully, I will not forget anyone but this flag means a lot as it was not a team flag but more a club flag. Thanks to all the people that supported me and stuck with me through thick and thin. But most of all I want to thank my family without their support I would not be able to do this.

Thanks and bring on 2020.

Cheers,
Vanny
